Growing up kids used to tease me about the phrase "Erin Go Braugh". It means Ireland forever. Erin in Gaelic (Éirinn) means Ireland.

The St. Patrick's Day parade in Dublin is part of a five day celebration and is a national holiday. But the largest St. Patty's day parade is in Chicago.

Blue was the original color of St. Patrick's Day.

Saint Patrick was born and raised in England. He is said to have chased all the snakes out of Ireland. Really he converted the pagans to Christians.
